The Covid-19 Pandemic in 2020 needs no explanation, especially when talking about the major impacts on businesses and schools. However, Colorado Academy found itself in a lucky position to be able to re-open as a private school, even under strict protocols. In order to safely re-open, the school’s campus buildings needed an extraordinary amount of signage to promote social distancing, regardless of mask mandates for students and staff. Children are notorious for “bunching,” so they needed a constant reminder to stay 6 feet apart from each other.

A graphic system was designed to visually stress the importance of the messaging, which was done through shape, type, and color. Over 900 graphics were installed throughout each school, library, athletic center, and cafeteria in accordance to recommendations from local heath authorities. Additionally, two versions needed to be made, as the campus has elementary and Pre-k students besides middle and high school students. Kree8 assisted in coordinating printing and installation, as graphics needed to be printed on different vinyls for multiple surface applications.
